Rum Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 box Yellow Cake mix
  • 1 packet instant vanilla pudding mix (small box)
  • ¾ cup oil
  • ¾ cup cream sherry
  • 3 eggs

Instructions

Combine all ingredients, prepare and bake in a Bundt pan according to directions of the cake box.

Rachel and Rebecca liked to make this cake frequently. And since they were underage, I had to go shopping to buy the cream sherry whenever they were in the mood. But there is one thing I have never understood: why is it called “Rum” Cake? Was someone too drunk to tell the difference between rum and cream sherry?

“But why is all the rum gone?”
