Press Cookies

Ingredients

• ½ cup shortening (one stick)
• ½ cup white sugar
• 1 egg
• ½ teaspoon vanilla
• 1½ cups flour
• 1/8 teaspoon salt

Instructions

Cream together shortening and sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in flour and salt. Add a little extra flour, if needed, to ensure the dough doesn’t stick inside the cookie press.

Use a cookie press to shape cookies. Decorate with sprinkles. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes.
