Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, at room temperature
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups walnuts, chopped
- 3 (8-ounce) bricks of cream cheese, at room temperature
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream together butter and brown sugar. Cut in flour and walnuts. Reserve 3 cups for topping. Press remainder into a 9″ square pan. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine cream cheese and white sugar. Mix in eggs, milk, lemon juice and vanilla. When bottom crust is ready, spread cream cheese batter over the baked crust. Sprinkle with reserved crumb-nut mixture. Bake for an additional 25 minutes.
