Asparagus

Melt 2 tablespoons butter and 2 tablespoons water in a large frying pan over high heat. When the butter has melted, add asparagus cut into 1-2″ pieces on a diagonal. Cover and cook over high heat for 3-4 minutes. Season as desired.

I am not going to pretend to have any secrets for vegetables. But this one seems like an elegant dish.
